Is it bad that my chicken doesn't roost in the coop?

So we got chickens 18 weeks ago, and about 2 weeks ago, one of our Golden Comets started roosting on the roof of the coop. Is there anything bad that could happen due to this behavior? We don't really have any foxes or cats in the neighborhood, so I'm not too worried her getting hurt. There is plenty of roosting room too. Any Help? Thanks!

I would clip one of her wings so that when she attempts to fly it's an awkward off balance no flying situation for her, she won't be able to go up there if she can't fly up there. If she is roosting up there at night she could get attacked by an owl. She needs to be in the coop at night.

Well I would personally prefer them in the coop better safe than sorry! The chicken will be exposed to any bad weather and there are other predators than cats or foxes (such as owls). You can search BYC for methods on getting a chicken to roost in the coop. Hope this helps and good luck!
