Is It Bedtime?

Because of the light overcast sky we had rather odd lighting for dusk tonight. The chickens couldn't decide if it was time to go to roost or not.

Some would go in. Others would follow.

Some would come back out. Others would follow.

The chickens inside would stand at the window and call.

The chickens outside would stand where they could see the chickens in the window and answer.

This went on for about 20 minutes before it got dark enough for all of them to agree that it actually *was* bedtime.

Chickens are so entertaining!

Indeed it will.

But it was so funny because they were taking turns going in and coming out and were talking through the window.

Popcorn: I'm sleepy, come inside.

Dumpling: It's beautiful out and there are evening bugs.

Chipotle: The roost is so comfortable.

Picatta: Mom just gave us fresh water and it's tasty.
