Is it better to hand turning VS automatic turning eggs?

Hello!
I am picking up some silkie eggs, but it is a 3 hour drive. Are these eggs considered shipped? Will I have a better hatch rate, if I hand turn them or place them in the verticle autmatic turner? I have a hovabator 1588 with the fan.

Thanks! :)

3hrs shouldn't be a problem just put them in a egg carton and drive home. Shipping is a lot more abusive then a ride In the car.

Auto turners are better than hand turning as auto will not forget to turn the eggs

Thanks gpop1!
I was leaning towards putting them in the automatic turner. I think I will have a better hatch rate that way!

The eggs are in the turner, I let them sit for 10 hours just to settle, then I put the turner on and stepped away. I candled the eggs after the drive and the aircells were perfect! Boy the postal service must be really rough with the packages!

Now I just can't wait to see their cute chick faces!!:)
