I made a mockup of a coop. It is 1.74m wide, 63cm deep and 1.7m tall. Here is a mockup of it. The box on the side is for them to lay eggs and is 40cm wide,20cm deep, 25cm at the lowest and 33cm tall at the highest part. It is compared to an average height man. On this plan there isn't a door to access the coop but I am going to do that on a refined version. What do you think of it so far?

I'm thinking of having three chickens, I'm working on a version with ventilation at the minute, I'll post it soon.

Here is the new design, it has the addition of vents. Have I made the vents big enough or are they to big? Will they let to much air in?

With your picture on the top if the area where the door is going like a mesh or chicken wire you won't need the ventilation

I put the ventilation there for the sleep part (dont know the name) because I read that they need air flow. Do I not need the ventilation for the sleep bit then?

My small coop looks just like yours but it's smaller and it has no ventilation in the roost area I'm sure you'll be fine

Would the hens e ale to get into the nest because in my plans its only 14cm high and 34cm wide.
