My chickens always have their mouths open is this common?

is it hot? they will have open mouths and panting like a dog if they are hot.

Well this week it has been in the 70s.

They shouldn't have their mouths open if it's in the 70's. If their mouths are open and their wings are lifted up a little from their bodies, they are too hot.
But it's in the 70's?

That is something entirely different.

I don't know what you mean by that.

If it's in the 70's today and their mouths are open, that is odd.

It had to hit the 100's here before I saw open beaks, and some of them had open beaks only in the 110's.

How old are they? Could they have gapeworm? Do they have access to earthworms?

They do eat grass that still in the ground so they could have access to earthworms.
