Is It Even a Chicken?

Hi all! So this little guy is about five months old, but I'm not sure what breed. He's pretty small, about 1/2-2/3 the size of Rhode Island Reds the same age. He's really good at "flying," getting about 6-8 feet off the ground without hesitation. Any help figuring out what he is is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

A Speckled Sussex maybe? It looks like some kind of game breed, but with Speckled Sussex colouring. Maybe a mix? Hopefully someone with a bit more experience will chime in soon, she is beautiful though

Can you get bantam Speckled Sussex?

at first glance it looks like a spangled old english game bantam pullet

Quick google search turned up Speckled Sussex Bantams. So, yes they are a breed, though most likely not common.

Okay, a quick google search showed that you can get bantam Speckled Sussex, but their tail isn't held upwards and wings don't slope. It looks like an Old English Game Bantam.

That was just a guess on my part, like I said, I don't know the breeds that well. Still learning.
