Is it fair?

DH and I had this discussion last night because I am getting ducks.

At one point in the conversation the question I've been dreading for almost a year came up. "Exactly how many chickens do you have wife?"

I hemmed and hawed, reminded him about the expensive new rifle that he's buying (that he doesn't need) and then hemmed and hawed some more, before asking...."do I have to include the chicks?" He said I do indeed have to include the chicks.

I don't think it's fair to have to include the chicks, do you?

If you have to include the chicks then ask him how many bullets he has for that rifle....fair is fair.

You can tell him your chickens keep you out of the shops, malls, and boutiques. So see, it's cheaper!!!! That's what I tell MY hubby when he asks how many chickens and looks like he disapproves.

Nope, chicks don't count. Half of them are going to wind up being roos and the others are just replacements for older layers and you can't very well count a retired chicken

He needed the gun...work with him...no questions about how many guns and no questions about how many chickens! Wish that worked for me...but I amthe one with chickens and guns...maybe books...wait...I have those as well...my wife needs a hobby other than keeping me in-line...besides...she is failing at it

Sizzles & Frizzles don't count
Roos only count in the urban environment
Banties don't count
Seramas & other little birds don't count

Two will be male.
One will die.
One will be a healthy girl.

Every four chicks equals one chicken.

(Yes, I made that up on the spot.)
