Some time ago but if you discovered what that was I would love to know as this is exactly how my hen started, now she has knobbly bumps all over her neck and vent area. She’s very thin and increasingly nervous hiding. Eating but reticent to approach food. Huge feather loss. Have treated got mites and lice, currently applying an anti fungal but vets when I can get there. Very worried.

Such a shame you never got an answer on this as this is exactly how my hen started off, now her head is covered in crust and she has been quite poorly, I deparasited her, applied athletes foot cream and finally a chrorahexadrine purifying spray, oh and vasalined her legs right to the top, she's started eating but she's not out of the woods yet, Mareks has been suggested as one of her eyes is blue, so it's wait and see.
