Is it fertile?

ok our quail layed an egg earlier today and we dont know if its fertile. is it to early to tell? can someone help us. we dont know if we should bother to incubate. thank you.

i would go with opption two but its my little sisters and she is adimit about it being alive soo.... also it is either a courtinix, white a&m, or a cross.
 
How old are the quail and is it the very first egg?

When young and just start laying, chances are the first few are infertile.

Of our first 8 , 2 were not.
We cracked them open to eat. :-)

You can try to incubate it, but good chance it wont be fertile.

I would suggest if you do, you try and explain to your sister there's a good chance it wont hatch. She may be very dissapointed if it doesn't .
