Is it going to be ok to feed my 8 to 12 week old chicks 24%?

We have been feeding 20% dumor chick starter to our chicks. We have been to 3 different TSC stores and cannot even find any purina.

The only thing we found has been 3 bags of 24%. Can they have this until TSC gets some 20% in?

Thanks

I think you'll be fine. I was nearly in the same boat at the TSC until I found a couple of bags of 20% in the back of the store. I believe it's as close as you can get and it's clearly a protein and medicated food for young poultry.

Thank you. We looked everywhere and could not find anything. They only had about 100 bags per store of layer crumbles and pellets but no chick starter. They say it was because of chick days. But one would think that if you have chick days you would order extra feed. The biggest problem is they only order every 2 weeks. This is becoming a very large issue and I may need to start to find a better place to buy my feed. The only problem is that every place I have called so far the prices have been $2 to $3 more expensive... I hope they get their act together.
