Is it just me or......

THanks Debi! I guess I will get my cabinet bator fixed up and working and just start hatching, maybe I will have better luck selling chicks. I love my birds but heck they really should be able to help pay for some of their feed.

I sure wish there was a section for trading eggs. That'd be right up my alley!

It has been a slow year and a bad hatch for me so far. Not sure why but maybe it is not the year for me to have chicks LOL! Just lost one chick due to one banty heck bent on killing that chick. Found it near dying so I put it out. Those poor Orp bantam moms they were so upset.

I've had inquiries about my Langshans, but this year I'm holding off for my own flock. I need to rebuild what the possums destroyed.

Ok then, I have barred rocks, pure, 1 Ameraucana hen that is laying and they are fertile (Wheaten hen, blue wheaten roo), and I have mixes: BWA over BO, Barred rock over white leghorn, and ee's.

Lot less FOR sale seems to me. Lot of mutts, common eggs, poor quality of nicer breeds. I've bought a few auctions here but not much I've been interested in. Seeing a lot of people who used to sell here on ebay now.

I have some very nice Spangled Russian Orloffs and I've got my first set of their eggs due to hatch this Friday. I MIGHT try 1 auction for those eggs in a couple of weeks...but if it proves to not be worth my time, I'll be heading elsewhere myself.

I also have pure bred pekin duck eggs. I just checked fertility - YAY!!!! I am willing to trade with anyone. My breed are pretty standard though except the Ameraucanas.

I've only got 3 hens...I lost my rooster this winter. My stock is from Dick Horstman, but I've got chicks coming from Sand Hill sometime this summer. So it'll be a while before I have them up and going...but I'm more than happy to let you know when I do.
