Is it my incubator or temp rise due to egg development???? Ugh!

If your incubator is working right and has a functional thermostat, doesn't mater how much extra heat the eggs add, the temperature should always be the same. If eggs give off heat, the heater element is on less.

Thank you silkie chicken, you are the only one that has ever said that, other than me. Thats why they are thermostats. Thats the whole point of them, to regulate the temperature.

Thanks redcatcher and silkiechicken. It has been fine since then. Not sure what the deal was. Keeping my eyeballs peeled regardless lol.

What is the coolest temp thats safe im having the same problem but it only day six and i have a bator full of eggs with chicks inside i can see the blood veins already. I lost a whole batch last month bc of the humidity now im having heat spikes but my bator is a forced air with auto turner

I have another question about fumes i have black ants just started taking the water from my incubator and eating the foam so i spayed the shed but after doing so i thought about the fumes can that hurt the developing eggs
