Is It normal for a baby chicken to alert the rest of the flock

This morning i woke up to my baby chicken alerting the rest of the flock that's there's a cat. Is that normal? I hope that doesn't mean she's a rooster. She is 3 months old

Yes, that is normal and it's usually the roosters that does the alerting, but I have seen my hens raise the alarm too. If you are unsure about your clever chick's gender you can post pics of it in the What Breed Or Gender is This? section.

Totally normal
