Is It Normal for Ancona Hens to Crow?

We have a 6 month old Ancona hen named Madam Peep that we are still trying to figure out if she is a roo or a hen. She crows excessively... for the past three or four days I have heard her crowing on average for about five minutes around the same time every morning, 8-10. I'm just wondering if they are known to do this. I know that hens are capable of crowing it just seems excessive to us. Thanks!

Post a clear profile pic if you want to be positive, but I think you have a rooster. Hens can crow, but it's usually an older, dominant hen. A 6 month crowing bird is a rooster.
