My hens are all sneezy. Is this normal? And if not do you think that the hay I'm putting in their nests are creating it? The feed stores were out of straw so I used hay instead.

Were they only sneezing for 1 or 2+ days? Is it very hot and dry or cold and wet?

Hay can make them sneeze. Or a lot of dust. I have a black cochin that sneezes all the time, and I can't figure out why. She appears normal otherwise. I would keep an eye on them to make sure they aren't showing other symptoms of respiratory disease (mucus from nose, swollen face, gooey eyes, lethargic, etc.) Good luck!

I have a RIR Rooster that has sneezed from the day I got him over two years ago. He acts fine so I don't know what the deal is. None of the hens have done it so I guess its not contagious.
