Is it normal for Turkens to be this large at 4 weeks?

Pics
@SuspiciousChick Hey, your boys are gorgeous! My girls are awesome - and they still look the same. They still have the same little banty-roo in with them: his names have been reduced to three (see post #57 this thread): Kids Cutlet aka Contra & Would You GET OFF OF HER. A updated Pic of Kid & Plushy, the largest and lead hen & also his favorite. The get- off-her name is because he's too little to successfully mate so he just stands there.

I need to weigh them. Might do that today.🙂

I love seeing all the pictures of everyone’s gorgeous birds! My girls were never huge, but two of them had an interesting feather pattern, like scarves. The other two are plain black. Here is Licorice with Veronica, our New Hampshire red, both the same standard size. Another difference is that mine do not have the bright red chest.

Hopefully my enthusiasm about my turkens doesn't annoy anyone: Because I have realized that the Turken is my spirit animal. :love🤣 (my initials are also NN)

So Cocoa is our 'training turken' - She is very tolerant of our on-the-job efforts. (Picking up a turken is an skill I haven't perfected yet: ever been flailed by a guinea? I think turkens have MUCH stronger wings... don't ask how know that.)

Anyway, Cocoa was the only one I managed to weigh without an assistant...And I'll be rechecking this: 12.2 pounds , and I've always thought that Plushy was bigger... Here are Plushy and Cocoa, with Cuddles photo bombing.

and just the two:

They have such different body types - Cocoa seems much less square, and more upright.
All four in this one - the 2 in the back, Cuddles and TeddiBear-over by the fence - are similar colors and have black in the wings & tail; Cocoa & Plushy have white.

So if I am more successful & accurate getting weights, I'll post them.
They were so much easier to weigh last October (at 5 months old)!

I found this on chickensandmore.com . I don't remember where, but I found several other mentions similar to this one.

I have 4 and I love them, but they are a bit intolerant of the other ladies.
I know the regular NN's come in a lot of colors but these NN hybrids that TSC was selling as regular NN's are the ones I'm talking about. mine should be getting close to laying so we will see how that goes .This hatchery is still selling the hybrids and calls them Pioneer Broilers. https://valleyfarmshatchery.com/store/pioneer-broiler-chicks

Pioneer Broilers.
Someone was spying on my Experimental Meaties project. They've got pretty much all the same traits I want in them, minus the Single Comb, rapid growth, & oversized breast.
Naked Neck is a trait I'm planning on adding to the meaties once I begin the project again.

Meaty vs Malay same age.

Oh my goodness I understand the difficulty picking these massive Turkens up, they are SO strong! Like, crazy strong for a chicken.
I also love the names you gave them. Especially Cuddles, ahh so cute!
