I mean I personally would take them home (Much to my moms dismay) Especially considering how the babies are dying and how it sounds like they like human contact. My guess would because they trust you so much and so quickly thatchy were dumped by someone. But then again there are feral Muscovy ducks in the wild who do just fine. By my dentist there's about 10 Musvovy ducks who live in a little pond in front of a apartment complex who were very clearly not wild muscovy ducks and every time Ive seen them they've been doing fine. It really depends on you. I would try t find out who owns the pond and ask them if you can take the ducks to a better home. Sadly some people consider Muscovy ducks a nuisance and are killed. You have several issues to overcome. Do you have room and resources to house them? Is it legal to do so. How are you going to catch all 14? I know its tragic that babies die but this is nature, babies die every day. Its clear that the adults are not in much danger. Ask anyone here how long their ducks would last without a run or coop.
