Is it ok to feed chickens fresh fish waste (Heads, Guts, Scales)?

My dad got back from fishing this morning with his limit of perch, and he thinks its ok to feed the waste from filleying them to the chickens. I dident agree with him but he did it anyway, he thinks they wont get worms from the fish becuse they eat bugs and bugs carry worms, I think thats bs. So any negative affects to this? The fish were never frozen or cooked, he will have to pay for the worm treatment and for the eggs I wont be getting if they get worms. I dont know mabey he is right and its ok.

Lots of people are fine with feeding fish to chickens. Personally... I'd probably feel better cooking it, but that's up to you/him.

Possible side effect is your eggs might start tasting fishy, so definitely don't go overboard with the fish.

I feed trout, sometimes whole to the chickens. The trout is farm raised so likely parasite free. I am leery of feeding freshwater fish that harbor parasites that normally target fish eating birds. Those fish eating birds have evolved with the parasites while chickens have evolved to deal with a completely different set of parasites. You could put the chickens in a situation where they must contend with both types.
