Is it ok to feed pullets gamebird starter?

I went and bought some RIR pullets yesterday, and the guy told us he had fed them gamebird starter since they were born up to that time. they are about 5 months old now. are they ruined from being fed improper feed? will it hurt their egg laying?

They've actually been fed a higher quality feed that should have put them in excellent condition. I would guess that they are in superior shape.

x 2. I mixed game bird in with the regular starter to give my girls a boost. They started laying at 16.5 weeks, while a friend who got chicks from the same batch who used regular starter didn't get his first egg until 21 weeks.
