Hello,
Our coop will be finished today, but I am unsure if it will be to cold to put my chicks out. Tonights weather is calling for it to be 33 degrees tonight. My coop has a heat lamp in the upper enclosed part of it. Should I wait for warmer weather???? It will be up to 75 tomorrow during the day.

Our chicks were 4 weeks old when we put them out in the coop with a heat lamp during the nights. It's gotten down to the upper 30's during the day and they've been just fine.

That was how old mine were when we moved them out. We also have a heat lamp on for the cold nights. Last night 32 degrees. They are doing great. I would say go for it.

Great! I just dont want them to get to chilly

I would make sure they are in the heated enclosed part at night. The rest of the time they should be fine.

We converted and old wooden A frame swing set into a coop and we enclosed the top of it except for one side the smaller triangle part if you can imagine it and then they have the whole that they climb up into... should I close them up for the night in there??? or will the be smart enough to stay in there?

THANKS!!!

Will do! We have a bunch of left over wood so that wont be a problem... This may sound stupid but I should leave a small food and water up there correct?
