is it ok to turn off lamp at night?

Is it ok to urn off the chicks heating lamp at night so it isnt so bright for them and me? its 70 degrees in my house all day and night. also there are 3 chicks in the cage.

How old are the chicks? They need 95 degreees the first week and down 5 every week after.

I'm going to guess if they are in the house still they are to young to have the heat off.

Depending upon the age it may be okay but if they're still quite young you will need to keep the lamp on

i use to do this and it worked just fine. i would wait till they were about a week old though.
