Is it ok to use diluted bleach to disinfect the styro bators?

As long as it's rinses super well is ok to use diluted bleach to clean an incubator that is styrofoam?
Or would it be to pourous and keep some of the bleach in it and then
become a danger to the next hatch?

We use diluted bleach with our incubators between each hatch. Just make sure you rinse very well and you will be fine. We've never had any trouble with any of our hatches from this and lately we have been having to bleach our "lockdown" incubator at least once a week for our staggered hatches.

Rinse it out well and let it air dry really well for at leased a day before starting it up and you will be fine. Bleach is a type of chlorine and traces will evaporate when fully dried. I used to use high concentration bleach for my saltwater aquarium stuff and never once had any problems. I used it on stuff including sand going directly into the aquarium and for the aquariums themselves. Its very safe and a good disinfectant. If it won't kill sensitive saltwater fish or the sea horses I used to raise then its safe for chicks.

If you can sit it out in the sun after you bleach it that helps to.
