I know this is better to use palexi glass due to the less thermal conductivity, but can I use glass? Is glass thermal conductivity high?

You can, gets heavy though. How big? Also risk it breaking.

As part of the lid on a homemade I used a thick double paned aquarium wall. Ant it holds heat in well.

I also tried using glass from a patio table for a different one. It was way too heavy, and I'm not sure it held temp I could never get that one to work.

So I can't just use one layer of 6mm glass?

How big a section do you want the glass to be?

That's about the same size as the one I have the aquarium glass on.
Yes but you had two layers of glass, I have one, it's 35*48 and it is the front door, it's one layer

I see, I ended up needing to use insulating board inside too, but I was using 60 watt light bulbs and a couple car headlights on thermostats.

You'll probably want something thicker for at least half of it if that's possible.

I'm using a 150watt heating element
Alright thank you for your replies
