My family and I have been steadily drawing in birds of all kinds around our ranch for the past 50 years. We do not trap or cage any of these birds. Instead we place bird houses of all sizes around the property along with multiple different feed spots. I would say the two species that have thrived the most here are Mourning Doves and Brown Thrashers. As you can expect, a handful of birds have became less skidish of us. Leading to my question. I had hoped to gain a picture of what I suspected to be a cross between a Mourning Dove and Brown Thrasher. However, the bird was not as friendly as the handful I had previously mentioned. Possibly an opportunity will arise where I may gain photos, until then I would like to even know if this is possible.
Note that me and my wife are avid bird watchers so there’s no chance we just had a lazy eye that day. I was thinking it, then my wife said it.
