Is it possible to get a stomach ache/constant nausea...

Be careful. . .drink good green tea, get some probiotics going and eat GOOD yogurt. Watch roughage type foods too for awhile, as I think they can sort of add to it sometimes . . .stress is a killer. Hard work never killed anyone, but I do believe STRESS will. Get better!!!!

PK, considering all the things that you are dealing with, yes you can have a constant stomach ache from stress. It may be ulcers but it may also be all the nasty stress hormones expressing themselves as pain. During periods of stress, female hormones can be all out of wack too. I know that some women get stomach aches, cramps and nausea around the time they ovulate as well as the usual PMS garbage.

Try to get in for a physical with a full medical workup. Your mom might not be the most approachable, but ulcers are nothing to fool with.

I've dealt with nausea all my life, even as a young child. Mom took me to the dr, and they all thought it was gas.

Having dealt with it as an adult now too, I now know it was and is, anxiety. I also know what it is like to have IBS. That gave me years of upset stomachs. After two different specialists, I finally figured out what worked for me on my own. I suggest you take a look at what is going on in your life. Stress can create problems in your body that you had know idea could happen. My oldest daughter dealt with a really bad bout of nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Took her to the dr, and we left thinking maybe it was something she was eating, since it always seemed to happen in the morning. Finally figured out my daughter was battleing some disturbing thoughts (long story). They were bad enough to make her this sick. It's been almost a year, and although things are much better now, we are still working on it. So to answer your question, absolutely, stress can give you an upset stomach. I hope you feel better soon.

Stupid question, but how can I tell if I have an ulcer or not?

Hot2Pot: I'm not.

I kept getting stomach aches. I went to the docs and they did a blood test for H. Pylori. My lab had normal range of 0-8, mine was 860!. This means I have ulcers. Explains why my stomach hurts all of the time. Check with your Dr. for testing. Not all stomach aches point to a definitive answer, only your doctor can give you that.
