Is it possible to only buy one chicken to add to a flock?

Do it regular.. Grandkids and chick day.. They start jumping out of the box, I get em'.. Sometimes they make it sometimes they don't.. but have a flock as opposed to half dozen and they can be merciless.. but most times they eventually blend.

If I switch back to rural, which is an option. I'm allowed 500 per acre.. So add 50.. Heck NO! 'THEY' mess with me again and I've threatened 500 sheep.. Their rules.. Would be a crowd. Can you knit?

I can't have a rooster where I live unfortunately, that's why she took on the role herself. I'm considering just getting the two, my neighbours don't mind so much since they get free eggs and I dont think theyd notice an extra unless I told them.
