is it possible to spoil a chicken?

I mean are there habits that I should discourage while they're young? Gretta is getting spoiled... She won't get down off of me long enough to peck for food... She's only 4-5 weeks ish... But I mean come on....

If it bothers you then yes, you should break her of it. If not, then it's not a problem. If having a full grown hen on your lap is not going to be a problem, then it's not a problem.
Everyone has their different limits of what being spoiled means.

My husband says my Mom spoils her chickens because she talks to them, lets them out every morning to run the yard and locks them up at night in their individual homes.

I make mine scrambled eggs or oatmeal with raisins every morning before I go to work!! My son tells me I never treated him that good!

Thanks guys!!! It doesn't bother me at all, I just didn't know if I should not let her do it because she will get big some day.... I assume when there are others chickens that she will peck around and have a good time, but right now I'm her "buddy" and I don't peck... Lol... Shee is so funny... I'm starting to get teased by the neighbor! Haha. Oh well....

I agree, "Spoiled" is a subjective term. Just be aware that the more spoiled they are, the more they depend on you. Which is fine, but should your pattern or work schedule ever change, it will take some adjusting for them to forage and fend for themselves.
