We got 28 chicks a few months back(12 weeks) there all doing great.
but my wife bought some turkens one week later, and made the mistake of putting them in the brooder with the bigger chicks.
we lost 3 out of 5, but I built another little pin, and we moved the turkens to there own place.
but at 11 weeks im worried(there still so tiny compared to the other chicks)

Yes, more protein will give them better growth but what breed are the other chicks? They could just be bigger chickens than the turkens. I have some polish chicks and after raising orpingtons I'm amazed at how tiny the polish are.

the other chicks are RIR, EE, Wyandotte, and some other production reds.(i think) as for protien, Im feeding all of them 18 % mixed with scratch, and the turkens have feed in a place the bigger ones cant get too.
