We have a little banty hen who tries to go broody periodically, but we've never let her sit. I've finally found the eggs I want to hatch...they'll be sent from OH to IN. Do you think I can get her broody by shutting her up in a nesting box (obviously humanely with food/water, time out, etc.) in advance of their arrival? She has not been laying eggs for a month or so...just wondering if anyone had experience doing this. I know banties are great brooders....
