I had my first broody hen back in August. No roosters so we bought fertilized eggs for her to sit on. Fast forward to yesterday- she finally joined her original flock after 10 weeks with her babies and laid her first egg today. The other hens laid their eggs in that nest box too (there are 4 total hens in that coop) anyway now she is sitting on them and protecting them! Can hens go broody back to back?? She is a barred rock for reference

Yes, if a hen goes broody once she is likely to go broody again. Going broody after laying enough eggs for clutch is very possible.

Yes! Absolutely!

I had a GLW who hatched herself 9 eggs.
Left the chicks when they were 6 wks. old, laid 12 eggs, then went broody again! I was thrilled!
