Yes, he can breed her, He might injure her.
Three days is too soon to check. Try again at five or seven days even
If your chicks are hatching too soon and dying, your incubator is too warm. Get a hygrometer/thermometer and keep it at 99.5 F and around 35-45% humidity the first 18 days, maintain 99.5 temp the last three days, but raise the humidity up to 50-60% the last three days. Good luck!
Oh, and....

i cant help but check i get too excited.. i always leave them in there for 7 days to check aswell.. i havnt been successful with the leghornes yet.. however its worked well with the RIR eggs

.. ill keep trying with the leghorne as she isnt getting injured.. the rcom incubator is all automatic so its hard to change the humidity etc. i just set it to the chicken setting and then its off on a mission.. ill try using a setting where u can change humidity etc and hopefully ill have some luck hatching out a little girl

Just so you know.. if you candle the eggs too much it will kill the chick..

every time you candle.. that bright light stresses the growing embryo.. I have seen numerous threads where people just can't resist the urge to candle their eggs every day to watch the process.. and 9 times out of 10 the chicks die early on

For myself, I candle chicken eggs the day I set them to check for cracks... again around day 7 or 10 (not both days.. depends on the shell color).. and again the day of lockdown
