My birds have been battling some respiratory illness for the past 6 weeks or so. Tried antibiotics, didn't help. So I'm just hoping it passes. It's kinda subtle. It takes some hanging around to tell they are sick. Not all show symptoms. Some sneezes, and some rattles. Otherwise normal.
My family has eaten eggs from these birds while being ill, when I wasn't sure if the sneezes were a cause for concern yet.
Of course we didn't get sick or anything, but wondering if it's generally okay to eat eggs from hens who are "functionally" ill.
