Is it safe to ship 1 single (1-month old) chick?

I have the opportunity to get a breed I've been looking for for a long time. But I can only get 1. They are in Southern California and would be shipping to Seattle. Is it safe to ship just 1 chick? She is 1-month old. As much as I want her, I won't do it at the detriment of her well-being if it can't be safely done.

It will depend on the time it takes and how you are going to ship it.

If you have shipping that you are pretty confident will make it in less than 24 hours, maybe 30 hours. I would consider it. But if it is going to be more than that - and I really wanted it, I would consider going and getting it.
