So yeah, I've recently started taking up chickens again after a year or so break. I used to breed Ko Shamo and Old English game (Mostly) and I found the main attraction for me was the cock birds, Atleast they made chicken keeping for me complete. I used to have a pen for Each breed, A trio of Ko's, 1 extra Ko cock (My best friend) who lived with the brown hens, about 9 English game hens, and two EG cocks, During the day I used to let them out and each flock would do their own thing throughout the day and suprisingly enough for game birds they always got on, Maybe with the odd scrap but nothing too serious.

Any ways, They eventually banned Cock birds from where I'm keeping my animals and I really want to own some Ko Shamo again, But, Will it be the same without a male?

I've just found myself rooster-less for the first time since I started keeping chickens (I'm a rooster lover too, btw). It is NOT the same, not one little bit. My hens are much more friendly, they all squat when I walk by and seem more open to being picked up, which I suppose is a good thing. But I really do miss my roosters crows, and fertile eggs (since alot of my hens decided to go broody after my rooster was gone). My boys were always my little buddies, and there is a sort of empty spot without them. I'm sure you'll still love your girls, I still do, but I missed my boys so much I had to get myself a little up and coming roo. Sorry you're forced to be rooster-less. Good luck!
