I got a trio of Pekins at the end of March/beginning of April. I got them from the same person I got my Swedish ducks from. He told us they were from McMurray hatchery and he ordered them in the fall (September/October). My Swedish ducks have been laying since the day we got them but I have NEVER gotten an egg from the Pekin girls. I told DH that I'd give them till June 1st to start laying or else they'd find a new home. I'm starting to lose patience. Feeding/cleaning/watering is a lot of work with no payback (eggs).

What do you guys think?

Are Pekins just slower to mature (something tells me no). Any ideas why they wouldn't be laying (they do not have drake feathers, they definitely quack, and they are smaller than the pekin drake with lighter color bills and feet than the drake). Is it time to find them a nice home with a pond for them to 'retire' to?

Ducks can be very seasonal...and like chickens...they lay when they are ready. Give them time.
