Is it TOO cheap? Christmas Help

for the kids...take two large plastic cups. fill them with candy and tape them together (open end to open end) trapping the candy inside. decorate them nicely and tie a string on it. home pinatta (sp.) for their parents, disposable cameras to capture the fun!

I got many magazine subscriptions for $3 and $5 for the year.

Also - consider the 10 egg pound cake. You can put it on a foil covered square of cardboard, tuck some fake poinsettia in the middle, dust with powdered sugar or a lemon glaze and wrap in cellophane. Tied with a bow. I gavet whole cakes to large families and half cakes to small families last year. Everyone loved the cakes.

Food gifts are awesome at the holidays.

Im making cookie towers. Im making 3 or 4 different kinds of cookies and truffles and fudge. Then buying 3 or 4 different size containers from the Dollar store to stack and tie a ribbon around the whole thing.

I buy cheep stuff from China. If my family wants good stuff they gona have to quit having so dang many kids. Thanksgiving consisted of about 15 people at dads the day before then moms family at my house on Thanksgiving day was 46 people. Christmas is usually bigger. I need a bigger house.

Hand Made, Home Made and Anything made with Love are the BEST gifts. NEVER call it cheap since love and care is an absolutely priceless gift.

I don't know if this is up your alley. But what about making Fleece PJ sets? ... I'm making a fleece pj set for my mum for christmas, the fabric has running horses on it. Cozy and it's a 1hr project. Very easy to make.

Baked goods! Cookies, those weird spherical powdered sugar things, fudge, etc. You can get those cute little bakery bags at dollar stores, and holiday sticky labels too.
This saved my tail last year, since I'm apparently attempting to marry into the Cajun Mafia. I counted at the meal 26 people.

Sounds to me like you have great ideas.

I still believe that it truly is the thought that counts!
