This Tuesday I got rid of my rooster because the city found out we owned him. We brought him to a farm nearby. Today one of my Buff Orps went broody for the first time, and I really wanted to try and hatch chicks when we had our rooster. I have bunch of eggs that are hopefully fertilized, (they were at the bottom of the pile so I think that they were laid when the roo was still here.) Is it too late to put them under her and try and hatch some chicks? The eggs are probably a week old, but i've read that you can let them sit when you are collecting to incubate them. Is there a chance that Tilda can still hatch some chicks?

Justin Case take some fresh eggs tomorrow and stick them under her. Very good backup plan
