So I guess this is a testiment that when you buy chicks, make sure you get more then one of a particular color so they'll have a friend!!

In a total mix flock of mutts, it seems not to matter. There is nothing to distinguish one from the other and goes to what fivebigreds was saying....

But, it seems the farmer knew what he was talking about. We like to call them babies and so on, but they dont know all that stuff. They're chickens and honestly, the Chickens World is a Savage Place.

This is another reason why the old wisdom recommended keeping only one sort of breed for best benefit. Made sense then; seems to still, 'ya know?
