I am.just going into lockdown. I candled all my eggs and had 3 not good. One I wasn't 100% sure about so I thought well let's candle once more. I see movement on there! I had it out of the incubator for a few hours because I thought it was dead anyway.

Any chance it will be ok? Is it possible to have such a gap in the cener of the eggon day 20/21

What breed is the egg?
A couple of hours out of the incubator may effect it but I know my Broody hen gets up and walks around for awhile and they still hatch.

The veins are deteriorating, it it should be darker if the chick was still alive.

On day 18, when candling the egg, the egg should be 3/4 dark space. It means the chicks body is filling the space.

Your egg stopped growing and is deteriorating.

The baby is way underdeveloped for day 18
It’s not from being out of the bator for a few hours. They would not cause this
It just wasn’t a strong egg from the start

Ok that's what I thought too..that's why I had taken it out but then when I saw movement I felt bad leaving it out... I figured it won't make it even if it is alive at the moment. Thanks!
