Is it worth ordering baby chicks in the mail? Tips

I think so, but make sure you order from someone who seems reliable. It's the only way I can get my birds where I live

Are you talking about in the spring? Because if you are, I've ordered tons of chicks in the mail. I have the best luck ordering from my state or a state adjoining mine.

New hamshire reds, olive eggers, and cuckoo marans. I have a sapphire olive egger but I would like to add more.

I've ordered from Greenfire Farms which is in Florida. I'm glad I did, but over all the chicks had a rough long ride to Iowa and I did end up losing quite a few.

Not sure about the reds, but IDEAL has the OEs and both clean and feather legged cuckoo marans. Plus no minimum as long as its over 30$

ive ordered from mypetchicken before .. its expensive to order chicks imo so you need a good reason to and mainly that would be if you want to be sure to get a solid breed thats not mixed .. good to start a backyard flock that way, theyre usually healthier and stronger than what your gonna find in the tub at the feed store .. after that though its definitely better to get an incubator to maintain the flock ..
