Is it written in the wattle? Bantam Blue Wyandotte

My 4 week Wyandottes comb is already pinking and it has red wattles. Is this a male? Or how and what age does the bantam Wyandotte present what sex it.

Wyandottes are super tricky! Even pullets will get a little wattle fairly early. They will also get pinker combs fairly early. You’re going have to wait quite a while to be able to tell.

Unless you have an obvious male, sometime you can’t tell until well over 14 to 16 weeks of age.
Sometimes you just have to wait for those saddle feathers to come in.
