Is layer feed ok? Help please!

Hi.. My sweet babies are 17 weeks and 5 days old. I was giving them grower feed as the man at the store suggested but now they have started laying or at least one has! I’ve been getting 1 egg a day for the past week and a half, should I be giving them grower feed still or layer feed now? If you direct me in the right direction for feed please do! Ty..

You should be able to safely transition to layer feed now.
However, keep in mind that since your birds are still young and we are after the summer solstice, onset of lay for some may be delayed, even greatly delayed in some.
Another option is to continue the grower feed and provide an extra dish of oyster shell for those building egg shells.
Once laying commences, it is imperative to get some more calcium into them.

Yes I do, that’s what I’ve been doing and with the oyster shells as well.. ty
