In the distant future I'd love to have a Kerry cow or 2...or 3.
I have no desire for bulls at all, I just want a good milking cow that I can use to save the breed.
With Kerrys being so critical is it feasible to lease my cow to be breed? I can make a small sum, get milk, and there will be a few more Kerry cows in the world

Seems like a win win for everyone right? So is this even possible?

Thanks for the input!

The owner of the cow is the one who pays for having their cow bred in our neck of the woods.....not the other way around.

We have two cows that we lease out, but we make a VERY small sum and the guy keeps the calves. It's a weird situation, but it works for both of us.

Maybe you could find a way to do it, but probably not.

Why not just breed the cow yourself and sell the calves? That's what I'm doing with my Dexter.

Use AI breeding. Then you can either sell the calf or keep it, the choice would be yours.
