I am surrogate hatching a duck egg for a friend. All the chicken eggs hatched last week, and there is this lonely duck egg left in the bator. Do I lockdown and increase humidity on day 25? Raise the humidity to the same as for chicken eggs: 65%?

Thanks for any help

I have had the humidity at 45% up until now. And I've read for duck eggs it should be a little higher. Is there anything I should do at this point to prevent problems from this lower than optimal humidity?

If you dont get your humidity up to around 80 your duckling might not hatc, so you need to get it up ASAP. If you are having problems getting the humidity up get a small bowl of WARM water and hang a face cloth over the side from the water onto what ever your eg is sitting on and let the water wick up. it will bring your humidity up

Ok, thanks for that. I should have been more clear in my question, and asked straight out what is the humidity for incubating and lockdown.

I've got 12 chickies in the brooder that are ready to greet this little duck!

Can anyone tell me what the temp should be for the duck eggs?
