The hens in my backyard love mint. I'm considering planting a lot more of it in their yards. Is there any danger of them eating too much mint?

I have never had chickens that loves mint... mybe peck on some but never come and eat our plantedints... I don't know if it is bad for them...

Is there a particular kind of mint your chickens like? I have a a few that I'm growing (pinapple, apple, peppermint, orange) but I didn't know they would eat it.

Mine also never touch mint other then for the bugs on it. I don't know the particulars of your mint, but eating a diet mainly of one thing wouldn't be good.

It's definitely an invasive plant in all sorts of places. I'm wondering about sinking a pot of it in my open air coop for them to much on or to see if it will at least keep some of the pesky mosquitos away.
