Lucy. I don't see any saddle feathers, and I have hens with more hackle feathers than your bird, and the comb is still pretty small and paler than a cockerel would have at this age. Although I wish I could see a photo of her/his tailfeathers all spread out to confirm.

You can see the dark saddles on the wings and back. The comb is small because it’s a pea comb, and it’s plenty red for a 12 week old.
