Hi folks! I’m totally new at this whole chicken keeping thing... I have a 12-week old chicken, lavender ameraucana (supposedly)... not sure if she’s a she or a he? Hasn’t been crowing or anything but has a redder comb than the others. Thank you for the help!

Ooooo it’s pretty! I have one Ameraucana and she is crazy. She flys and she hates being in a coop. She flat out refuses to lay eggs. I doubt it has anything to do with the breed though. She belonged to a flock that was never cooped but I have to coop her from time to time and man does she put up a fight. She’s a little on the wild side. Yours looks like a hen to me and that color is too pretty.
