This is my three month old chick, “Marion”. I’ve been thinking for a while that I’ve got a rooster because she’s so much more curious and always approaches me (much more than the other girls). Now that her tail feathers are growing in, I think I’m seeing some sickle feathers in there. Help! I love her, but I absolutely can not keep a rooster in my neighborhood ☹️. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to BYC. I'm on the fence about this bird, but lean pullet. Have a plan 'B' in mind, but don't be in a hurry to relocate the bird just yet.

Thanks for the reply! I’m in no hurry to relocate her, but I’ve been stumped for months! When I first got her, she had a white spot on her head... and if she’s a black sex link I think I may have just been ignoring all the signs all along

That spot is in the wrong place. It should have been on the very crown of the skull, in the back. That's not a barring gene head spot.
So, that said... How old is this bird? If you bought it as a black sex link, which is what it looks like, then its a pullet. If it was a male black sex link, it would have had the spot on the back of the head and it would have been a barred bird.
