Is MG a highly pathogenic disease?

Hello, what does Highly Pathogenic disease? And is Mycoplasma gallisepticum a highly pathogenic disease?

I know ducks can get it and I’d really like to breed against it. But apparently if it’s highly pathogenic it’s not possible. According to the American Livestock Conservancy.

You cannot breed against mycoplasma gallisepticum or MG. There are 2 types of mycoplasma in chickens, MG and MS. They are contagious, common in some backyard flocks and in wild birds, and last for life. Survivors are carriers, and the whole flock may test positive later. Some birds get symptomatic and some don’t. I would not say that it is highly pathogenic, as some diseases such Newcastles disease or avian influenza, but it is contagious. Birds who are exposed can show symptoms within 10 days. Symptoms can be treated with certain antibiotics, but the chicken may have lifelong damage. Here is some reading:
