Thank you all! I will heed your warnings! I have also read to pick them up and hold them until they calm down. Is this good advice?

I'd wear long rubber gloves. Aggressive hens peck hard sometimes, even when they are picked up.

I would hold her down chest to the ground it will tell her you are in charge
